Bound by Zaehnsdorf in full dark navy morocco with an elaborate diapered pattern on both covers, created with stylized floral sprays built up with a large floral stamp and stems, branches, and leaves. Five bands to spine with title and author to second and fourth compartments, and corresponding floral design from the front cover to remaining compartments. Gilt-decorated turn-ins with gilt ruling, branches, and leaves. Pink silk endpapers. Zaehnsdorf's "exhibition" stamp in blind to rear pastedown. Measures approx. 5.25" x 7.5". Some spots of rubbing to edges, corners, and spine bands. Minor fading to upper portion of spine and upper 0.5" of rear board. Foxing to text.
