Clerk's Press Miscellanies [First Series]. Cleveland: Imprinted at the Private Press of Charles Bubb, Clerk in Holy Orders, 1911. 

These "miscellanies"--comprising several individual volumes from the Clerk's Press bound together--include a separate title page and table of contents, and are quite scarce (note holdings below). 

The front cover of each title is bound into the rear of the volume. Each copy is numbered #16 (except for The Wisdom of the Simple, which is #23.)

• Heathen Master Filcsik. 1910. Limited to 100 copies.
• The Marvellous Story of the Monk and the Five Roses. 1910. Limited to 100 copies. Large woodcut initial by Bubb in blue & red.
• On the Morning of Christ's Nativity: An Ode. 1910. Limited to 250 copies.
• Carols for Christmas Tyde. 1911. Limited to 250 copies. Large woodcut of the nativity scene to the title page. Printed blue & green initials. Music printed in black & red.
• The Wisdom of the Simple. 1911. Limited to 250 copies. 
• Two Sequences for Easter Day. 1911. Limited to 225 copies. Printed blue initials, ruled in red.

Bound in 3/4 deep red morocco by The Booklovers Shop, with maroon and brown marbled boards. Title in gilt to spine. Plain endpapers. Measures approx. 5" x 6.75". A significant amount of rubbing and wear to edges, boards, corners, spine & bands, and hinges (though covers remain solidly attached). Head and tail of spine chipped and worn. Some offsetting to the edges of the endpapers, some light fingerprints to early pages of text, and soiling to upper edge of textblock.
