Bound by Sangorski & Sutcliffe (signed on rear turn-in) in full darkest navy (verging on black) morocco with gilt ruling to covers and small floral cornerpieces, made up of stylized inlaid red flowers and small gilt leaves, with gilt dots and a small inlaid red roundel. Five bands to spine with title and author to second and third compartments and gilt ruled and dotted design to remaining compartments. Gilt ruled turn-ins with small knight tool to corners. Light blue endpapers, all edges gilt. Bookplate of J. Drew Appleby. "With compliments" note from Sangorski & Sutcliffe (dated 1909) bound in at the rear of the volume. A few light spots of rubbing to corners; offsetting to endpapers, foxing to text. Water stained spot to top edge of frontispiece.
